The Direction of Cure: Healing Isn’t Always Pretty (But It’s Real)

In homeopathy, we don’t just ask, “Are your symptoms gone?” We ask, “Where did they go?”

Because the body has a built-in roadmap for healing. And when things start to move — even if it looks like chaos — we pay attention. That roadmap is called the Direction of Cure.

Here’s the cheat sheet:

  • From inside out (adios asthma, oh hey eczema)

  • From top down (goodbye migraines, hello sore ankle)

  • From more vital to less vital organs (bye bye heart palps, hey cough)

  • From spirit -> mind -> emotion -.> body (you might cry before you stop itching)

  • And often in reverse order of appearance (you may revisit some oldies but goodies)

So yes — sometimes your anxiety lifts… and you get a rash on your butt.

That’s not failure. That’s your body finally taking out the trash.

Meanwhile, the conventional model sees a rash and says: “Shut it down.” A pill, a cream, a steroid — and the symptom disappears.

Neat, clean, marketable.

Except now you’re not sleeping and your moods are tanking.

Suppression is tidy. Cure is weird, wobbly, and wonderfully alive.

Real healing isn’t about chasing comfort — it’s about truth. And sometimes truth looks like a weird cough returning before your grief finally lets go.

When I work with clients, I’m not here to polish symptoms into submission. I’m here to follow the body’s lead — even if it’s dragging us through the back door with yesterday’s unresolved story in tow.

If this makes something in your gut say “yes,” you might be ready to explore real healing.

I’m opening a small test group to walk through the first steps of my program, 12 Steps in the Direction of Cure.

Still scratching beneath the surface,

Lindsay
